Thomas
Burke, an Attorney at Law, is a member of the Costa Rica Bar
Association. He has chaired the Legal Affairs Committee and the
Subcommittee for Real Estate Legal Security at the Costa Rican -
American Chamber of Commerce. He has also represented the Costa Rican
Union of Private Enterprise Chambers and Associations for the
Regularization of the Cadastre and Property Registry Program.
He has 25 years of experience in Costa Rica real estate legal services
and has served hundreds of clients mostly from North America and Europe
in making an investment in Costa Rica. Because Thomas Burke resides
permanently in Costa Rica, was born in the USA, and grew up in Europe,
he is fluent in English, Spanish, French, and German. His concern for
the environment and the desire to better advise our clients in this area
when considering real estate investments led him to go on and earn a
Master’s Degree in Environmental Legislation with emphasis on Land Use
Regulations.
Glenda Burke, an Attorney at Law, is a member of the
Costa Rica Bar Association. She started in the law firm over ten years
ago and her professional manner is exceptionally people friendly
according to our clients.
She also holds a Master’s Degree in Tax Consulting and helps our clients
in forming corporations, estate planning, and obtaining legal residency status
in Costa Rica.
Gloria Quirós-Burke, a native Costa Rican, and former
accounting assistant, is our office manager. Gloria is our internet
banking expert and keeps track of our office and client accounts. She
also handles property management for those clients who want extra help
with staff, taxes, utilities and other payments. Most importantly, she is
both persistent and has the gift of gaining cooperation from people,
something that cannot be overestimated…and often gets more results than
a team of lawyers.
